Arba Minch to Jinka Day 3
Embark on a boat trip on Lake Chamo to see some of the world’s largest crocodiles basking on the shores, as well as hippos and an abundance of birdlife. Drive to Jinka, visiting the Gamo and Derashe peoples en route. If it’s a Thursday, stop at Key Afar’s weekly market and mingle with various tribes like the Benna and Ari, who gather to trade goods. Mago National Park Excursion Day 4
Take an early morning drive to Mago National Park to meet the Mursi people, known for the clay plates inserted in their lower lips. If time permits, visit the Omo Valley Museum in Jinka. Overnight: Hotel or Lodge in Jnka.

Jinka to Turmi Day 5
Head to Turmi to visit the Hamer people, renowned for their body scarring, unique clay hairstyles, and the ceremonial “bull-jumping” practice for young men before marriage. On the way, visit the Benna and Ari people. Overnight:Hotel, Lodge or Camping In Turmi.

Omorate Excursion Day 6
Take an excursion from Turmi to Omorate. Cross the Omo River in a traditional canoe or via a newly built bridge. Visit the Dassanech, a semi-nomadic tribe with a population of about 70,000. The Dassanech are “agro-pastoralists,” cultivating crops and raising livestock. The men also fish and hunt crocodiles at night to supplement their livelihoods. Return to Turmi for the evening. Overnight:Hotel, Lodge or Camping In Turmi.

Murele and Kangatan Excursion Day 7
Drive to Kangatan and visit a Nyangatom village. The Nyangatom are known for their oratory skills and songs and rely on sorghum, maize, beans, and tobacco cultivation. Continue to Murele to meet the Karo people, famous for their elaborate body-painting and intricate scar patterns. Scars on a man’s chest signify that he has killed an enemy or dangerous animal. The Karo tribe is relatively small, with an estimated population of 6,000-9,000. Return to Turmi for the evening.

Turmi to Konso Day 8

Konso to Hawassa Day 9
Travel to the lakeside town of Hawassa. Along the way, visit a Dorze village in the Guge Mountains. The Dorze are known for their tall, beehive-shaped bamboo houses, which can be moved to new locations if infested by termites. Overnight : Hotel in Hawassa

Hawassa to Addis Ababa Day 10
Return to Addis Ababa, stopping at the Rift Valley Lakes, renowned for their endemic birdlife. Upon arrival, enjoy optional souvenir shopping if time permits.
